A couple of days back, I was going through a pile of books on sale when I came across a book I already had. It had a different cover though, it looked more adult than my boxed set version covered in pastel and it was in bad condition. I walked around looking for more books to buy with only Php 150 in my pocket. Then I decided to buy it; I don't know why.
A few days later, the author died. Madeline L'engle wrote many books that invoked in me an appreciation of science, science fiction and faith. She drove me to read more science fiction but ultimately made me fear writing any. She's hella funny too.
